NEW PHARMACOLOGY SYLLABUS
The information in this 12-module syllabus is intended to introduce dental students, dental hygiene students and dental assisting students to the study of drugs and how they affect physiologic systems. This course will provide a framework and a base of knowledge in the principles of pharmacology and the drugs used in the current medication management of disease states, as well as a solid foundation in the terminology and vocabulary that is associated with pharmacology. Special emphasis is given to those drugs administered or prescribed in the dental practice, as well as those drugs whose actions, side effects, or interactions with other drugs may impact dental care.

Caries and Erosion CE courses
Caries Process and Prevention Strategies comprises a series of ten continuing education courses that may be taken individually or as a complete series. Procter & Gamble is delighted to have created these courses in conjunction with ADEA, enabling high quality educational experiences and an up-to-date understanding of both the science and its relevance to clinical dental practice. World-recognized educators and researchers, from a wide range of institutions, were invited to contribute to this educational resource. The ten courses created by the faculty are as follows:

INFECTION CONTROL SYLLABUS
The information in this 13-module syllabus is intended (1) to meet initial educational/training requirements for Dental Students, Dental Hygiene Students, and Dental Assistant Students as mandated by OSHA and other federal, state, local and professional organizations, (2) to provide a framework for an in-service training program in oral healthcare settings to meet annual educational/training requirements as mandated by OSHA and other federal, state, local and professional organizations, and (3) to serve as a resource for oral healthcare personnel wishing to review evidence-based information on specific topics related to infection prevention, hazardous waste management, and hazard communication compliance.

Interactive Modules
The learner will experience a virtual soft tissue exam including the parameters of the new periodontal classification guidelines. Next, there are 5 patient case studies where learner will apply the material while developing critical thinking and problem solving skills. Lastly, upon completion of the case studies a final knowledge quiz.

Periodontal Chairside Guide

This chairside periodontal patient education guide is designed to help you communicate common oral conditions to your patients while using your professional guidance to provide treatment options.

It is based on the Classification of Periodontal and Peri-Implant Diseases and Conditions proceedings of the World Workshop jointly held by AAP and EFP 2017.

CASE CHALLENGES
Case Challenges

Dental students can test their ability to diagnose complex cases using these interactive case challenges. Students will review diagnostic information, such as clinical, radiographic and pathological findings, and select the proper diagnosis.

The library offers numerous case challenges, provided by Crest® + Oral-B® in conjunction with the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry faculty, covering a broad range of oral diseases and conditions.
